Cast Detachable Chain

Cast detachable chain was introduced in 1873 to overcome many problems that came from cogged chain (introduced early 1800s). Today it is one of the most common chains used. We supply cast detachable chain to the agricultural industry, mining industry, sugar industry and general power transmission market all around the world. Though the design and dimensions remain the same, the manufacturing process and techniques used with the chains we offer are far more advanced thus increased performance and strengths can be expected. We also have a helpful chain detached tool to assist in the process of "breaking/ detaching" the chain when it is ready to repair and replace. Cast detachable chains are still popular in todays world because they are light-weight, easy to replace, high strength, and typically offer a long working life.

Detachable Chain is the first malleable iron chain to be employed extensively for industry-wide applications.  It is lightweight, low cost chain available in full range of sizes and can be used in a wide variety of applications where light and medium loads are current at slow and intermediate speeds in relatively clean atmospheres. 


There are two styles cast detachable chain. Style A which is the most commonly used type today, and Style-B. We can supply either style in either chain size. In addition to the chain we can supply attachments and we have a full line of detachable chain sprockets in stock!
